2025 Spring Adventure:

South Africa

Discover the beauty of South Africa, the land, water, animals, and history that makes this country unique. Become a historian and examine the culture and people through engaging materials and discussions.

Engage their
growing curiosity

Our 2025 spring adventure students will travel to South Africa and find a historical past - of struggle and the perseverance for change. How did the Dutch influence modern South Africa? And how did Nelson Mandela embody unity? Why do the animals of South Africa symbolize a national heritage? By exploring different periods of time, students can develop historian critical thinking skills - to unlock the clues within the past and present culture which can provide a compass for future unity and prosperity. Students will develop not only their historian skills, but also use their lens of history when engaging with lively presentations and hands-on artwork. Our last class will be a fun portfolio presentation, and a little Salad bowl game with parents.
